Phony..

To be phony can mean to be fake, or to pretend to be something you're really not. Mostly people can be phony. Adults are better at being phony than children because they want to try to impress other people more than we do. Experience: My brother brought home his girlfriend one time, and it was the first time introducing her to my family. He would always talk about her and tell us how nice, talkative, and how great she was; before we met her. When she finally came over, and we met her and talked to her, we realized how clingy, and annoying she was. First impressions mean a lot, but I don't judge people the first time I meet them. But with her, it was totally different.
